Learning to develop for the iPhone

Well today I decide to keep a blog of the little things I learn when trying to develop for the iPhone.  I have been taking some classes and need to figure out a real project to really spur my understanding of the concepts.  I just seem to learn things best by diving in and just making something.  So I decided last week an app I wanted to make and have begun trying to work through code and examples to create it.  I figure maybe as I work through things I will eventually get the hang of things…

As far as the app goes it needed to be something simple enough for a first app but it had to be something I would find interesting enough to want to work on.  So I finally figured out an idea.  Not ready to share it yet since I hope to sell it in the store.  There are other similar apps but I think I can do better.

I have been doing some programming with PHP for quite a while but this is my first attempt at mobile/desktop programming.
